NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming)
What is NLP?
NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Neuro refers to your neurology; Linguistic refers to language; Programming refers to how that neural language functions. In other words, learning NLP is like learning the language of your mind. It can help us update old patterns and scripts, adopting more resourceful approaches – much like updating our computer software when we start experiencing technical glitches. In fact, it was a graduate computer programmer from the University of California named Richard Bandler, who was deeply interested in psychotherapy, alongside the linguistics expert John Grinder who devised this incredible mind tool.
How is NLP Useful?
NLP can help anything that you do in life that requires thought or feeling, either conscious or unconscious. From helping with fears and phobias, relieving anxiety & stress, or just communicating better. The techniques are used by top athletes, high performers, communication & body language experts, top businesses, and individuals around the world. Many people find it very interesting, as well as helping them conquer their fears or to perform to their best abilities and attain their goals.
NLP can be an effective tool in your personal or business life helping with things such as:
- Self Confidence
- Public speaking
- Fears and phobias
- Stress & Tension
- Past traumas
- Career & Relationship goals
